If you are looking for a great appetizer for your next party (maybe this weekend!?). Try this one out! We have served them over and over again and always get asked for the recipe.
This is a recipe was found many years ago off of the internet, I can even remember where we found the original. In the subsequent years, we have adapted it to suit our taste.
Buffalo Wild Wings Style Wings (medium)
1 C. Frank’s cayenne pepper sauce
1/3 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/8 tsp fresh ground black pepper
1 egg yolk
2 tsp water
2 tsp cornstarch
2 to 3 dozen chicken wing pieces
Combine all ingredients except yolk, water and cornstarch in small sauce pan. Heat on Medium until boiling. Reduce and heat for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and cool for 15 minutes.
Vigorously whisk egg yolk with 2 t water for 2 minutes. Whisk in cornstarch.
Combine sauce with cornstarch mixture, whisking rapidly. Cover and chill.
Heat oven to 425 degrees. Place chicken wing pieces on a greased rack on a cookie sheet with a large lip. Bake for 1 hour.
Dip wings in sauce and serve. These can be kept in a crock pot to keep warm.
