Hi everyone, Stacey here to share a project we are starting to work on in my own home. Too many years have gone by, that I have watched as Jason has made beautiful bathroom spaces for his clients and I have helped design amazing master bathrooms for our clients, only to come home to a less than inspired bathroom of my own. Well…that is about to change!
To give you some history of our home….when we bought this house…gulp…16 years ago, we were planning to be here only a short while. So when we tore off the little half story on our cape cod and added second floor, I designed and decorated it half heartedly. I let a lot of decisions be made by budget and convenience (if Jason had an idea…I was a lot more accommodating to the idea than I normally am…that and I was pregnant with our first child during this stage of the remodel). So this space has never been my favorite. Three years ago we started deconstructing the master bedroom and bathroom. We moved our jacuzzi tub to our girls main bathroom and have since had a shell where a tub once stood. Cracks in the drywall were started to be finished, but never sanded or painted, so to say the least, this room and my master bedroom, have been UGLY!
I sadly couldn’t find any before of the before pictures before we started deconstructing…and I am too embarrassed to show you the current state of things…but here is my plan….
This is the design board that I have made. I love these elements so much! It will hopefully be a serene and happy space. The vanity is still a work in progress. We are going from two sinks to one. Our current second sink usually ends up holding my curling iron and blow dryer :)…so I am thrilled to get more counter space. I originally had a more elaborate design idea for the doors, but in putting this board together, I realized it looked like too much going on with the fancy shower doors and cement tile. I am excited and not entirely sure how we will implement my idea for the shower door, which is shown above as the wooden X crossed doors…but we will keep you posted on our progress!!
Until next time,
