Pantone Color of the Year…Greenery. I am very excited about this years color of the year. Let’s face it this is way better than last years Rose Quartz and Serenity. Green has been a staple in my personal color scheme for many years. In our last house, my husband was quoted saying, ” No more green in this house. ” That may have been a bit dramatic. In our current home I have continued to use it. I do not see me ridding my house of green any time soon. After all, that kitchen back splash is here to stay. If you are looking to decorate with the Color of the Year, but not willing to take a huge, permanent leap…like a kitchen back splash… then this board is a wonderful example of just that.
I have always felt green was a neutral which is why I’ve loved using it so much. This room uses accents of “greenery” with the use of pillows on an oversized grey sectional. The painted chest in Benjamin Moore Jalapeno Pepper with Greek Key design is sure to become an instant classic in any room. Art is another great place to bring in an accent color. This wonderful oversized piece is sure to be a conversation starter in this room. We have also grouped a trio of complementary pieces together over the chest. Stacey and I are loving the high contrast of black and white accented with green. Using different shades of green we have given this room a fresh look. Let’s not forget the easiest way to add green to your room is with live greenery.
Stacey and I would love to help you update your space and bring Pantone “Greenery” into your home.
Until next time,
